Every day for the past 5 or so years, my cat has jumped up onto the counter in the kitchen, where she's not allowed to be. And every day for 5 years, I've had to get up and take her down. Even if I'm glaring right at her from 2 feet away, she still does it.

It's getting annoying. I've stubbed my toe a few times running up the stairs. Any way I can make her actually LEARN that she isn't supposed to go up there?

You could always try cruelty, but I would discourage that, so I don't know why I suggested it '>_>

If she goes on the counter, THROW HER DOWN! Also, try to teach her to roll over. Cats love to learn tricks.[/joke]

All cats are learning impaired.

Mine keeps jumping up onto the dining room table and sits/lays down on it.

We keep pushing him off and picking him up off of it, but he persists.

Even as I type, he's there...
