It was originally planned for an NES release, but was canceled. Then, a group called Demiforce found a beta cartridge, and changed the title screen from "Mother" to "Earthbound Zero". If you google it, you can download it. My opinion? Best RPG for the NES.

No. It was already a complete and successful game in Japan, not to mention the plot was amazing, and was already completely translated. The beta cartridge had the complete translated ROM on there, so Demiforce dumped it and edited the title screen. |

Look up a guide. All you have to do is go southeast of town into the graveyard and rescue Pippi.
And I never beat Earthbound, either. My had a little... INCIDENT with savestates, and my file screwed up so I just quit. |

then it's not a beta. beta means beta is pretty much a prototype of a game. |
