"Well I guess we should stop that stupid chain chomp from destroying the house, then we have to free the portrait ghosts before E. Gadd destroys us all together." Sparkyautomns looked about the room. Wasn't much they could do about the Chain chop, now that he thought about it.

"Ah, it seems you have hit 'Yes.'" The small man snickered as he walked over and pulled a leaver, sending Gear into a room dressed as one that would be seen in the mansion. "Now take out your flash light, and look for the ghosts hearts. If you are too slow, the ghost will disappear, but will reappear later. In conclusion, the only way to get rid of a ghost is to suck them up with a vacuum."

IC: Meanwhile, outside the mansion, a Shady Koopa stared at through binoculars at the building. "Luigi's Mansion," he spoke into a recorder, "some journos came here once but never returned. I have decided to find them and laugh at them... Why did they come here anyway?"
Turning it off, Darst climbed over the wall and examined his surroundings, and for no apparent reason found himself walking towards a shack beside the mansion. The Koopa knocked on the door and said "Are you the owner of this mansion?"
