I'm breaking it down to several different categories. Most of this will be fact, though some will be opinion, so shut up if you are going to call me a fanboy, because I know about the consoles.
GRAPHICS: Whether or not you choose to believe it, graphics do play a role in your enjoyment of a game. Although it is hard to see form current, games, the PS3 is technically superior to the 360. The 360 has been out for an extra year, so naturally developers know how to push the hardware to it's limit. I think we'll see this happen next year with the PS3 as well, and start to see some truly amazing graphics. It's in the machine so there's really no decision to be made here.

GAMES: One's games being better over the others is all opinion. In this respect I will not be judging the PS3 and 360 in this way. It is fact though, that the 360 is not really a console of variety. Lies you say? Let's look at an example. These are the top 20 rated 360 games from GameSpot over it's entire life span.

Let's break this down. 10 games are shooters. That is half the list. Not to mention that a majority of these games are third party, meaning they are on multiple consoles. I will now show the same list, but for the PS3.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Ninja Gaiden Sigma Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas Modern Tactical Shooter Resistance: Fall of Man Warhawk Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 Madden NFL 08 The Darkness Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection NHL 2K7 MLB 07: The Show Virtua Tennis 3 Fight Night Round 3 Marvel: Ultimate Alliance NBA 2K7 Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 Call of Duty 3 Def Jam: Icon Virtua Fighter 5 NCAA Football 08
I find this slightly unfair since the previous list reflects nearly 2 years of 360 games while this reflects less than 1, but it still proves a point. The biggest genre this time is shooter once again, but only with 6 of them. Once again, I don't think we can say that ti has a lack of first parties due to it not having a real Q4 yet but this still proves a point. The PS2 had the most variety than the Xbox last generation, and the PS3 will still have more than the 360 this gen. Lastly, let's face it. Almost every game on that list was M. If you or someone you know isn't old enough to buy M rated games or can't get access to them they are going to get little to no entertainment out of it.
WINNER: PS3
PRICE: OH NOEZ SONY LOST! Wrong. Xbox may be cheaper, but you aren't counting that year head start or extras again. It's had enough time to get a good price drop, not to mention that attachments like wifi that the PS3 comes installed with will cost money. And don't even get me started on fees for Live. Fact of the matter is, the price is very similar when you look at it.
WINNER: TIE
ONLINE: Both have good online, nuff said. Xbox Live is still considered the best online service to date, and it deserves it. The one thing it does though is shoot itself in the foot with with fees. Which is where Home comes in. It's a game within itself, and it seems like ti will be as functional if not better than Live. Even if it's not it won't cost you a dime which is always a plus. As far as I can see it, both do a good job and neither can be declared better than the other until Home is finally out.
WINNER: TIE
OTHER FEATURES: I'm not even going to stat on HD DVD vs Blue-Ray. Until one is gone, that's all opinion to me. I'm going to focus on other features. The PSP and PC connectivity with the PS3 is just amazing, especially remote play which if you have never seen in action is one truly innovative feature. As well PS3 has much better backward compatibility. Why? Because it has 2 huge libraries of great games while the 360 has one good one. Sony has made a great piece of technology, and if you own a PSP or even a PC it definitely justifies it's price tag.
WINNER: PS3
So there you go, facts on the table and the PS3 wins. The 360 may look better now due to it's head start, but just keep watching. That won't keep 360 on it's throne for long.

Xbox 360 got some really great games out there, and Gamespot doesnt know anything, and it has been confirmed many times that Gamespot is biased with Sony.

Online? as much as I love Nintendos Wi-Fi, XBOX LIVE is the best online. it is. I know you havent tried it.
So why is Marvel: Ultimate Alliance only on the PS3's list? And where is Mass Effect?
