I tend to like Halo 2's multiplayer. The story mode is as normal as most of em, but multiplayer really helps it. I love to completely destroy people in the Squ... Scorpion Tank. I usually go entire 10-25 live games without dying once.
Lol. Tanks rule.
Halo may not be the best shooter, but I like the multiplayer. |

Did I mention that FPS + gamepad = frustration?
Whats that "What about Goldeneye and Metroid?" you ask?
Those are different equations my friend:
FPS - vertical movement + gamepad = win
FPS + gamepad + lock-on = win |

I remember when I played Halo. It was on a TSA trip to the state meet. The other guys in my hotel room had brought an X-Box with a copy of Halo. We played multi-player until three AM. We were so wasted by then, we were just doubled up in laughter over nothing. It was awesome. I had enough adrenaline in my system that I was actually able to go to my events later in the morning.
Of course I sucked at it, so I'm not so fond of Halo. I'd rather have Metroid Prime 3's motion controls, although I've only played an in-store demo. |

Halo 3 is very original, especially with its Forge Ability, and online play. (features in online play)
and I assume you never played Halo 2 (or 1) online. because it is really fun online. (for all we know, you never played halo at all!)
I agree it is getting Overhyped, but I wouldnt say overrated. |

Really now? Flavio had a few problems with that statment:
So, not liking games that are hyped makes us non-gamers? Not believing this same hype makes us non-gamers? Flavio doesn't think so.
How did Halo "redefine" FPS's? Sure it had online, but that costs extra money, which some people don't have. Also, there's many people online who're whiney whores, who cheat and crap. No one wants to deal with that.

Okay, sure it has the forge ability, though that's useless unless you have online. Flavio would rather access the debug room using Action Replay.
Other than the Forge, the game isn't very original.

Okay, Flavio was going to say some joke flame about how stupid that statment is, but Flavio decided not to waste Flavio's time.
Flavio has played both Halo games (not online, as Flavio has already stated a small amount of Flavio's many problems with online play) and they aren't too great. Flavio has played Multiplayer, but didn't enjoy it as the levels are too small.
Besides, because Flavio insulted your game it automatically means that Flavio hasn't played the games? Flavio thinks not. |

As for me, Metroid is as far as I go into the genre. And right now, it's just the VC Metroid and Super Metroid. I might eventually get Prime 3... if my mom lets me.
Also, my highest gaming priorities right now are Mario Kart Wii, SMG, and that Olympic Games thing. |

I still think my opinon is valid, and has not been addressed in any Halo reviews yet. Playing a FPS with a gamepad is scientifically proven to be more frustrating than playing with mouse/keyboard or Wii Remote. The only people who will enjoy Halo 3 are those who have played the previous Halos, everyone else will be frustrated with the controls for weeks. That right there should knock down the score at least a little, or at least be mentioned in the reviews. |
I agree, I could never play Half-Life 2 efficently with a gamepad. |
