Quote: | To play the title, gamers will shake both the Wii remote and nunchuk attachment like maracas in cue with on-screen beat indicators. SEGA has not yet explained how the Wii remote and nunchuk will be able to duplicate the setup for the Dreamcast game, which utilized a mat and sensors to determine the height and angle of the maracas.
The game is being developed by Gearbox Software and is set for a spring 2008 release, according to SEGA.
"The Wii's controllers enable players to enjoy Samba De Amigo's unique gameplay without having to purchase an expensive peripheral," said Rick Naylor, director of marketing at SEGA. "Between the music, the quirky art style, and the maraca-shaking players, Samba De Amigo is as much fun to watch as it is to play." |

A total no-brainer. This game was destined for Wii. So, do you think they will have maraca adapters for the remote/nunchuck? Or use two remotes, and just use the built in speaker for shaking sounds? Or.. something else? |

I don't think it'd be a good game, honestly. I only heard about the game about a year ago (the original) and it doesn't sound fun. Is it just... maracas? No story or nuttin, just shakin maracas? |

I hear theres this guitar game, and its just... guitars, no story or nuttin! And theres this dancing game where you just step on colored squares, I mean WTF!? Dont even get me started on bongos... These games are doomed to failure. DOOMED!
jk, but yeah, its a fun rhythm game where you shake it high, medium, and low and strike poses. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samba_De_Amigo |

Im not sure it will be as good without the sound of shaking maracas in your hands. The Nunchuck needs a speaker too. |

If it's a guitar game, will it live up to America's obsession with Guitar Hero?
And by the way, an admin double-posted. =P |

I'm starting to get freaked out. Nintendo power keeps getting predictions right. Are they psychic? |
