I had no idea for a catchier title Razz
Anyway, using a super Mario world rom, Lunar magic,(level editor for mario world) and a graphics editing program, I have begun recreating paper Mario graphics in super Mario world.
Keep in mind I drew these from memory, so they might look a bit crappy.

Small, Mario, being even smaller than usual.

Big mario, now replaced by the previously small Mario, with a fire flower.

More big/small Mario.
I haven't done the complete background yet, and I edited it a bit to make it more like Mario world.
Everything is done using the original games colourscheme.
Post your thoughts, comments, and tell me how I could make it look better.

These are cute, but this sort of thing goes in the <b>Your Creations</b> area.

Well I figured since this is a playable game...

MUST DO... I have SMW so I can have the rom legally, all I need is the stuff. (And Paint has always been good enough for me as an editor)

Where did you get the Rom (Player and SMW) and Lunar Magic?

Also, it looks very good. Does it have the storyline from SPM or any features from SPM? (Buying stuff, ect.)

OOH! Edit the Koopalings to be bosses from SPM, like Iggy could be Mr. L, and Bowser could be Count Bleck, throwing... Dark Prognosticuses?

For the rom just google "mario world rom download"
For the rom player I'd reccomend Zsnes. Best version is I believe 1.50.
Google Lunar magic or Fusoya(creator of Lunar magic,(best version is 1.63) he also made some other useful programs.)
And paint doesnt work since the graphics are stored in bin files, wich you have to extract from the rom(easy with Lunar magic), and edit with yet another program, I used YY-CHR(again, Google is your friend)

It does not have any features yet, just the regular Mario world with graphical edits, but I can insert blocks that put a mushroom, flower, feather and even star in your item box and then subtract a certain amount of coins. Sort of like a shop. Maybe I can make one to put a shell in the item box, like a shell shock.

It's not complete yet, I've only made the first overworld map and 2 of the levels in it.
When it's complete it'll have around 50 levels.

Thats impossible to make at the moment, because the game doesn't have that much graphics memory. Also he'll be just too big.
Bowser is the biggest in the game, and hes not even a sprite, hes actually a moving background object.
Also, some new screens:

I decided to make Mario ride Yoshi backwards, for that YI feel.


The first overworld, should I make Bitland or Lineland graphics?
