Would you guys be interested in reading my Metroid Fusion Interactive Story? The voting takes place on Gamefaqs, since I don't feel like counting up votes from two different sites, but I'd post it both here and on Gamefaqs. I'm a few chapters in at the moment, but I can just post them all right now. It requires almost no knowledge of the series, as most of it is summarized at the very beginning.

vMetroid Fusion spoilers, the only things you really need to know
The Galactic Federation is actually bad. In the game, they have a secret Metroid breeding facility. Samus ends all their experiments on a space station by crashing it into SR388, at the same time detonating the ship's, causing the planet to be destroyed as well. The primary reason for this were the X Parasites, native to SR388. They killed the organism they infected, then took their DNA and modified it, allowing them to turn into that organism, but more powerful. The Metroids are their natural predators. Samus was infected, but saved by being injected with Metroid DNA.
