Chapter One: Stage Fright! A strange new microphone?

The worst feeling in the world washed over her as she stood there soon to be in front of everybody...

Everyone in the world was going to be watching...

Lights flashed around her, as luminous designs floated around in neon pictures. Her first performance was in an hour.

But nervousness had overcome her.

Would her first show be her last? Would she forget what to say? Would she make a fool of herself? All live around the world?

Her silver eyes shut close as she breathed deeply. A simple gray microphone was between her clasped and shaking hands. Her brown hair was kept up with pigtails, which stuck out of her large purple hat, with yellow near the edge. A golden bow was tied around her neck, which held together the purple cape that billowed away from her orange minidress and jeans, complete with a silver belt and shoes.

Her lightly gloved hands loosened on the microphone as it reached it's breaking point, but who could blame her?

She bit her lower lip as she reopened her eyes. Shadows were cast throughout the empty seats, and the darkness of it all seemed to echo against the lonely walls.

A flash out of the corner of her eyes rerailed her attention as she rushed to behind the colorful set. A fancy microphone was placed on the table. It was like a purple and orange barbershop pole with a bright gold bow on it, with the mic at the top.

A letter was attached to it, which she pulled off. Her eyes scanned the paper, and her bright eyes softened. She left the note on the table and looked at this newfound microphone.

It didn't seem like much, but now it meant everything to her...

The flashing lights seemed so much brighter when the audience was watching her. She felt so strange, looking out at them all. She took a deep breath and held her microphone tight.

"Welcome to Neon Trivia..." she began. She heard her voice echo throughout the silent room, but it sounded like something new. It sounded...confident. Her eyes lit up as she got into the spirit.

"...My name is Kit Quizmo, your host for today's show!" Game show music began to play as the audience cheered. Kit Quizmo smiled uncontrollably, but this was only the beginning of the show, she had to remember that.

"Today, our very first contestant is---" Kit read the card that was in her open hand.

"...Francis!"
