It's funny you should ask. Originally I went by the nick of "Shooichi," which was my japanese name when I took Japanese in High School. A friend of mine, who goes by "Scissors" here at digibutter.nerr, had a tendency to put Shooichi cameos in his stories and games where he could name characters. For example, he named a Chimchar after me in Pokemon Pearl.
He'd always keep it fresh, but using different variations on the name. Sometimes "Shooichi," "Shoo," or, yes, "Shoe."
He and I are both big Phoenix Wright fans. He completed Phoenix Wright 2 before I did, and subsequently informed me that I made a cameo in the game. Of course, I had no idea what he meant until I ran into the cat. So it came that, when I got tired of calling myself "Shooichi," but I still wanted that identity, that I took to "Shoe." |
