Today I got Dashell before entering Merlee's Mansion. Then I got to Chapter 2-3 in the V.I.P. Room.
I must say that the wheel DOES go REALLY faster. In fact, I think it goes 4 time as fast!
But the odd thing is that I didn't have, on the spot, the impression I earned rubees faster. I did only when thinking about it a little later. In fact, I DID earn rubees faster, just that holding two buttons instead of just one was painful in a way (you can't really switch thumb when one is tired).
But beside that, there's no real advantage to getting Dashell THAT early...
If someone does get Dashell that early, he should try it himself.

Wracktail isn't exactly the hardest boss around >> but the last parts of the pit is pretty annoying so you have to be good to pass. |

Well, kind of. But if you use Boomer in the pit, and watch out for missile attacks, you're not hit so often. Plus, I like to stretch the duration of the games by doing stuff like that.

I know, but I wanted to test how early I can get Dashell. You can go get him right after getting Boomer, and that's what I did.
Like I said, I like doing stuff like that to stretch the duration of my games.
Which made me remember to complete my Low HP and FP quest in TTYD... |
