A blinding light suddenly illuminates the coliseum, revealing a large, gloved hand.
"Greetings, fighters...I am the Master Hand. I have gathered you here for a very special purpose..."
The coliseum seemed to rise around them all as it spoke.
"...To fight.
"Yes, to fight. You see, I have invented a sort of spectator sport...taking fighters from all over the universe and pitting them against each other. Throughout the fight, the fighters will be given various tools to use. I call this game...Super Smash Brothers. Interesting, isn't it?
"Anyway, whatever purpose your life may have had before now is gone. You now exist solely to entertain me. Oh, I'll treat you relatively well...I'll give you your basic necessities, at least. But from this moment onward, I own you." |
