Okay, here's how it works...
I'm going to start playing Minish Cap (this is my third time playing it, so I am a little familiar with the game, but it has been some time since I last played it). What I'm going to do is try to evade death for as long as I possibly can. I will use hearts and faeries to lengthen my life. I will fight my best against the monsters.
You will take bets on how long it will be before I die. Not regarding time, but specific plot advances.
I am a good gamer, so you'd be more likely to win if you place your bets after Deepwood Shrine. That place is easy as pie.
Whenever I stop for the night, or have to put the game on hold, I'll post here to let you know how far I am. Whenever I pass a cut-scene or important area, I'll tell you. I will list my stats: my rupees, my Mystery Shells, all my key items and weapons, and even say what Elzo said on select to prove where I am.
I will not use any FAQs for assistance, I will be playing on my own.
I'll be accepting bets at any time until I reach the Royal Valley (plotwise), and I will keep a record of who betted what and for when my death occurs after the list below.
Also, for whomever won (as in, was right about the furthest I got before I died) will get a gift item as well.

Similar to a certain thing I'm doing. 
I'll make a suggestion, you may want to group them into sets of two or three if noone bets. Better odds tempt people more. >_>
I might place a bet leter, don't feel like it right now though. |

No, what I mean is if you leave this open for a week or so and noone really bets, group things into categories, like this:
Moments of Death
Death by Deku Shrub (Prolouge)|En-route to Minish Woods|In Deepwood Shrine:
Death by Giant Chu-Chu|Climbing Mt. Crenel|Cave of Flames:
In other words, odds increased for all, making more people want to bet.
But it would be a good idea to sit back for a day or two and see what happens before you increase the odds a bit. |

Im confused. What does the chart mean? If I bet 10 coins, what do I win? Do I win by guessing it exactly, or just being the closest? |

The chart means that if, for example, you bet that I'll die first in the Cave of Flames with 10 coins, and I do, you'll win 6 coins.
If I die in the Temple of Droplets, you'd win back your coins.
Considering that I'm a decent player when it comes to pocket-systems, the chances that I'd last till at least the Castor Wilds are high (hence the low winnings).
So yeah, you'd win by betting on the area (in the game's progression) that I am able to keep from dying until I kick it in there. |
