Metroid Galaxies

Story

It is the year 20X5, and the galaxy is living in peace.

That very same peace is threatened by the Zebesian Space Pirates, creatures who come in several variations. They are led by Lord Ridley and his two underlings, Kraid and Mother Brain, along with their variable Commanders.

To the Galactic Federation, they are they greatest threat to civilization, and will do anything to stop them, even hire the most loathsome of the criminals and bounty hunters to stop their operations.

But mostly, the galaxy is in peace.... For now.

How to RP

Ummm.... Not many rules here. Only that you can do pretty much whatever ya want. Make up bounties, go to planets... Yeah, free reign here.

Main Characters

You can be anyone; you only have to come up and claim them, just make sort of a sheet for them. And I suppose being the Hunters from MPH would be fine as well...


Areas

Earth: The base of operations for the Galactic Federation; also where most humans live.

GFHQ: The orbiting space station where much of the Galactic Federation's business occurs.

K-2L: An Earth colony destroyed by the Space Pirates. The entire planet was basically wiped out on its surface, and the only thing left is rocky desert.

Zebes: The home world of the Space Pirates. A Chozo colony lived beneath its surface long ago before being destroyed by the Space Pirates.

Tallon IV: A planet that is the main source of Phazon for the Space Pirates. Their main bases are the in frozen Phendrana Drifts and the Phazon Mines.

Aether: The home world of the Luminoth, it was once divided into two parts; Dark Aether and Light Aether, before Samus Aran interfered.

SR388: The home of the Metroids, it is filled with Chozo artifacts and ruins. However, passage to this planet is usually forbidden.

Also, you can make up planets. And you can go to any new ones from Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, which I haven't played yet.

Name: Arvo (also known to Space Pirates as Unit 1337)
Species: Space Pirate (Prime 3 variety)
Age: 54
Description/Appearance: Long story short: Prime 3 space pirate without the blue Phazon blotches, with a Federation insignia on his chest.
Weapons: Standard Galactic Federation blaster, along with retractable wrist bayonet.
Alliance: Galactic Federation
Special Abilities: Unlike most Space Pirates, he is not a blundering idiot and understands the concept of not just standing there like an idiot and letting your enemies shoot at you.
Other Items: He commands the G.F.S. Scheria, an Olympus-class battleship.
Bio: Space Pirates who show any sign of cowardice shall be hunted down.

This is the law by which all Space Pirates live their lives. Unit 1337, known to his peers as "Arvo", learned this firsthand thirty years ago. Details regarding the incident are hazy, but it has been confirmed that something happened on the dwarf planet of Pluto. A Federation fleet discovered a pod floating in space. Within it was a half-dead Arvo. Despite him being a Space Pirate, protocols required that any injured bioforms who were not harmed as a result of the Federation be helped in any way possible.

Against all odds, Arvo survived. A pariah to the Space Pirates at that point, due to circumstances which nobody fully understands, he had no choice but to join the Federation. Arvo was immensely helpful in the battles that ensued from that point onward. Being a moderately high-ranking Space Pirate, he had exclusive knowledge of Space Pirate strongholds and experiments, and with Arvo's help, the Pirates were completely driven out of over 300 solar systems. Eventually, Arvo joined the military in order to help more - the biggest mistake of his life.

Arvo rose through the ranks, eventually becoming a general. During a battle on the planet of Aarat XIV, he encountered his former squad - an unpleasant surprise, to be sure. The ensuing battle had them completely ignoring the Federation troopers and attacking only him. Eventually, they succeeded in permanently damaging both of his legs. At that point, backup arrived, and he was spared any further injury.

Arvo chose to remain in a military position, giving orders instead of fighting in battle. He was transferred to the G.F.S. Scheria, but he requested to keep his title of General instead of Admiral. Since then, he has borne a bitter grudge against his own kind - a grudge which shows up quite prominently in the halls of the Scheria.

Description/Appearance:For some reason, UT looks sorta like Samus from
Super Metroid, but with small, robotic joints, white armor, and a long antenna on the back of his head.

Weapons:Plasma Cannon, grenade launcher.

Alliance: Galactic Federation

Special Abilities:He has free will, uncommon for robots who aren't terminated on sight.

Other Items: His grenade launcher is a separate weapon, not built in, and he holds various chips for computer needs.

Bio:Just before a system crash at one of Earth's many factories, UT-56 was made. The first, and last of his type, he was built for assistance for bounty hunters or to be sold as a mercenary. Since his project failed, he was sent to be destroyed in a garbage facility. However, he escaped, and only found himself in a barren wasteland. The Galactic Federation found him weeks later, though they didn't recognize his true purpose, they accepted him into their military. However, his original bounty hunts from time to time, usually breaking the rules of the federation. He is quite worried about the Zebesian Space Pirates, and seems to hold interest in fighting them, though conflicts have not arrived as of yet.

Oh, Dimentio, Mother Brain is the boss of Ridley and Kraid, not vice-versa, however, Ridley rules the army, since Brain is just a sleeping creature. Well, that's what I heard.

Other Items: A civilian class, but top-of-the-line, ship for traversing the galaxy, motorcycle for Earth
Bio: Julia was born to a human father and Angeli mother on Earth. Her parents were killed in a ship accident at 12, and she has been bitter ever since. Her adoptive parents were no help, and she became a delinquent as a teenager, often put in custody. After high school, she left and pursued her own path, first as an independent prostitute. Once she made a substantial amount of money, she took up small to medium game bounty hunting, surprising prey with such a primitive weapon.

Cannot block rapid attacks at close range and can only block attacks that from the front. Ivan keeps it in a sheath on his back),

Ammo is armor-piercing and the rifle in question is completely silenced. The only drawback is that it is bolt action, meaning that he has to reload after every shot. Also has infinite ammo for this weapon. He keeps the WA2000 in a foil-padded suitcase that prevents scanners, infrared devices, and metal detectors to find the rifle.)

Alliance: Neutral, but leaning towards good. A contract killer that prefers to avoid making his presence known. He will take special requests for the clients, however, such as showing the target a photo before the kill. He does not kill non-targets unless it is either self-defense or the person in question is a potential witness.

Special Abilities: (Only for Ivan) Infinite ammo for his guns, 100% accurate with both his guns, can reload very quickly, can disassemble or reassemble the WA2000 in only 5 seconds.

Other Items: First-aid and mechanic kit (he doubles as a medic and can aid both machines and non-machines very quickly and effectively), Fake death pills (when taken, Ivan enters a state of false death. His body temperature runs cold and both his pulse and heartbeat stop. Impossible to see through this facade.), Revival pill (a pill implanted into his left permanent molar. it will let Ivan revive himself from the fake death status at any time, but if Ivan is in the fake death state for more than 5 minutes, not even the revival pill can bring him back), Zippo Lighter ( http://www.smokerstuff.com/Classic/18K/195single.jpg self-explanatory )

Bio: Ivan Raidenovitch Raikov was a GRU Major for the Soviet Union until the aftermath of the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was frozen in time while going through a routine training camp and taking what he thought was a shortcut. He reawakened 5 years before this event happened at the age of 16. His only possessions are his lighter, rifle case with rifle, uniform, and gold desert eagle. He has made his living by being a contract killer, and although known as a legend and a miracle in the underworld black market for both his skill and his being a human, he is a ghost above ground.
