It's about Nazi Germany.
The itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout The spider is Germany.
Down came the rain and washed the spider out That's the depression that cam after WWI
Out came the sun and dried up all the rain The sun is Hitler and the Nazi Party promising to rebuild Germany
And the itsy bitsy spider went up the spout again That's the thriving Germany led by the Third Reich
And Ring Around the Rosie is about the Bubonic Plague, but that's for another thread. |
