Backstory.
Not everyone knows who "The Grand Pirate" is, so you could include some info to get people in the loop of it.
Like "Cast out of his village as a young boy, his life turned to piracy. He has plundered many villages, killing without mercy. His ship in a very vibrant crimson color, because of all the blood that has been spilled on it." |

Well, it gives you the idea that the guy is a ruthless killer, so you can't expect the mercy some pirates would give. |
