Yes well, recently I opened my ds to find a crack in the right hinge. You know, by the lights? Yeah. About a month later, well actually, just today, I was playing it and the hinge became looser, and until it finnally actually BROKE off. Yes. Broke off. Now the inside of the hinge, of course, is now only hanging on by the left hinge. I'll take pictures soon but...

I am here about the warranty. Do you HAVE TO have the reciept?

It looks like it just snaps in, but I can't really tell if theres invisible glass around the hinge... you know

Exact same thing happened to me. Cost me $50, even though I was under warranty. All I did was CLOSE the DS, and the hinge snapped.

This happens to EVERY DS Lite owner at one time or another. Call Nintendo.

I just got a lime green protector, and it snaps right in. It works pretty well, actually.
AND its made by NERF. NERF football kinda stuff =D
