Which will you get? This poll is for everyone, but please only comment if you are actually buying one of them.

For me, I actually want to try the drumming and singing plus I have three other friends who really loved GH2. So I'm pretty much set on that end. Also since Harmonix is actually making this now and they were the creators of GH, I have much more faith in this product. Not to mention it has some awesome stuff in it as well.

Rock Band does look pretty cool, but the $180 price tag is hard to swallow. And Rock Band has not been announced for the Wii yet. So, the only option for me right now is Guitar Hero. (Plus all my friends will be getting GH).

So assuming you have both consoles, do you get GH for 360 or Wii?

Sadly, I'm not much of a Guitar guy, regardless of which one it is. I mean, I've FC'ed all songs on easy and 5-starred all songs on normal in guitar hero 2, but I'm not the kind of guy who wastes hours trying to FC Freebird.

I'll get Guitar Hero III because I never played it before. Rock Band doesn't look that good of an idea to me, it might be fun, but whilst Guitar Hero might be okay, RockBand goes too far.

I can see the children entering a talent show with that thing in tow.

I'd leave Banding to the real bands. GH is okay, but a whole band... Unnecesary. If you want to have a rock band, learn to play an instrument and do so. RockBand seems like WiiFit and Second life - Do stuff you could easily do by yourself. Guitar Hero is kind of into the same direction, but seems more justified to me.

The only problem I have is, GH isn't being made by the same guys anymore. It's being made by Rec Octane and Activision. Honestly, I don't think "Boss Battles" and "Battle Mode" are the best directions the series can take.

Rock Ban don the other hand can be just another GH if you want. All you need to do is go buy a guitar by itself and the game by itself. Vice-versa it could also be just a drum game or just a signing game, though I don't think you'd be able to buy those YET without the bundle. They can be separate, or they can come together to make a gaming experience that is the first of it's kind. The versatility is one of the things that is so great because you now don't have to just master the songs, you have to master them on three completely different instruments.

If you have only a Wii I can understand, but if you have any other consoles than I can't really understand your angle considering it is almost the same price with just a guitar aka what GH has.
