Hello again. I'd like to open another conversation since my previous ones were a success.

Super Paper Mario is much darker then the previous ( Paper ) Mario games. Some call it morbid. In this topic we are gonna discuss what, why, which, and how much! What I mean is sad/nasty parts in the story that can be left out without hurting the storyline one bit.

I have a few examples to get started.

Fracktail's Death
Yeah. Fracktail was actually a good guy but because Dimentio fried his processor he went mad. And died. And you saw his bones fall, kinda like in Zelda. That really was NOT necessary, you know.

Mimi's Neck Twisting
Mimi cracks her neck and I thought it was kinda disgusting. I was very surprised to see it in a Mario game.

I thought Mimi's neck snapping was awsome. It's a good way to freak my friend out when she makes me mad Smile But I do agree this game was a lot darker than the other games. Fraktails death kinda caught me off guard when there were bones, I thought he was a robot! King Sammer's Kingdom being obliterated into a white void was funny but still everyone there died! Even the plot which was revolving around the destruction of all worlds, dimensions, and living things.

Haha, well, the neck snapping is not one of the worst things Razz.

Fracktail IS a robot, but with bones Confused , which is odd.

SPOILER: Everyone in Sammers Kingdom is alive, actually.

Mimi's sort of like a demon. If you really think about it, it IS slightly more mature than the other ones. I think that there's more death involved or something.

I've beaten the game, but no one knows what she is for sure.

Yeah, I've been wondering the same thing.
(The following link is full of spoilers: )
MarioWiki's article on Mimi however disproves this theory.

Copied directly from Mariowiki (ending spoiler: )
If Mario flips to 3-D while Mimi is "True Mimi", one could see gears inside of her, possibly meaning that she is a robot, a fact that is further implied by her violent explosions upon defeat. However, near the end of the game, Mimi's love, along with Count Bleck's, Tippi's, and O'Chunks', repair the Pure Hearts, meaning that Mimi is not a robot, since robots can't have feelings, that means that the her arachnid form may be Mechanical implants.

HOWEVER, this still leaves the question 'WHY does she
have gears in her head when she IS NOT a robot?
'

The myth lives on.

I doubt that Nintendo will make it clear, but we can still hope for it.
... Why is it that I so often hope things that are probably not going to happen? I hope for Luigi's Mansion 2, too, and that's very improbable.

Improbable, but not impossible.
Seeing as Nintendo has released the Wii, a sequel will probably
arrive, utilizing the Wii's innovative controls and the fun of
Luigi's Mansion.

Hopefully. A lot is still unclear (Luigi's Mansion ending spoiler)
about Bowser who supposedly died. Or was it not
the real Bowser?

A lot of people do that as a daily routine, sadly enough.

Fracktail's death didn't bother me much, until after I beat the game. When I saw King Croacus alive and well, I immediately rushed to the Yold Ruins to see my favorite mechanical Dragon make the same miracle recovery. But no. I was outraged that they could save someone like King Croacus but kill Fracktail for good.

As for Mimi's neck snapping, that never really disturbed me as much as the transformation it was a prelude for.

Who cares if robots don't have feelings? It's a game, not real life Confused
