Nintendo had their own release party yesterday at the Nintendo World Store... I bet they didnt have Super-Mushrooms though!
"Mario congratulates Julio Sarmiento, center, of New York, as the first consumer in the U.S. to purchase Super Mario Galaxy for Wii, early Monday, Nov. 12, 2007, at Nintendo World store in New York."
"Parker Higgins, of New York, dressed as Nintendo's Mario, waits to be among the first in the U.S. to purchase Super Mario Galaxy for Wii"
"Aaron Lunning, 11, of New York, reacts as his mom Rachel Cohen-Lunning is among the first in the U.S. to purchase Super Mario Galaxy for Wii"

Those guys are really lucky. And those of you who pre-ordered it at Gamestop may have gotten a call from Charles Martinet as Mario telling you to pick up the game.
Why is it that we don't get Jason Griffith to do Sonic on the phone, when the time comes to pick up a pre-ordered copy of Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, or the next Sonic the Hedgehog Game. |
