The gigantic metal monstrosity is attacking the Mushroom Kingdom. Odds are Bowser somehow salvaged it from the wreckage shortly after its defeat in Pinna Park. But this matters little, as none of the Mushroomers are wondering how its back so much as that its attacking.

"I'm bored," muttered Princess Daisy Sarasa, tossing a baseball up and down.
"Daisy, Toadsworth already said they were doing construction at the baseball field, so we can't play," Princess Peach Toadstool reminded her cousin.
"I know that," Daisy replied, looking out the window. "Fact is, we've got nowhere to play baseball, and-"
The baseball dropped out of her hand and hit the carpet with a thump.
"...Uh, cuz?" she said, slowly rising from her seat. "I think you might wanna take a look at this..."
Peach turned around. "What is it, D- ...OH, MY-"

Mecha Bowser loomed over the castle. It did not even seem phased by the bullet bills bombarding its exterior. The metal monster had torn a tower from the castle and broke asunder the castle gates.

"Exit stage left!" cried Daisy, grabbing her cousin by the wrist and hightailing it out of the room. As much of a confident fighter that the princess was, even she could see past her hotheadedness enough to know that staying in the castle at that point was a BAD idea. Besides, her cousin was in trouble.

"Right behind you!" Peach wailed, following suite.

Down in the Mushroom Castle sewers, Fawful could clearly hear a large, crushing sound from the palace above.
"What is that being...?" he mumbled, looking up at the ceiling of his hideout and adjusting his glasses.

To Fawful, the giant robot (which towered over the castle) would seem even bigger. It breathed fire down on the frightened Mushroomers as they attempted to run away from the castlegrounds.

(I just pictured it as the kind of frantic thing she'd blurt... xD; )

The two princesses had just made it down to the entrance hall, when, through one of the large windows, they saw the mechanical monstrosity unleash a massive burst of fire.
"Whoa!" Daisy cried, jumping back.

"It's going to hurt everyone!" Peach cried.

A large crack had spread across the ceiling of the chamber. Fawful jumped back to avoid beind crushed by a falling piece of plaster, and, snatching his Headgear from the table, flew up to get a closer look.
His jaw dropped. Towering over the castle was a robot designed in the visage of Bowser which could only be described as gigantic.

The robot seemed to have two things programmed into its hard-drive:

1) Destroy Mushroom Kingdom Castle.

2) Fireball all the Mushroomers.

It was following both orders quite well, it you ask me.

The castle doors burst open as Daisy charged outside.
"HEY, YOU OVERGROWN TINKER-TOY!" she yelled. "BACK OFF BEFORE I FRY YOUR CIRCUITS!"

Peach followed, using her trusty parasol to shield she and her cousin from the fireballs.
"Stop it right now!" she chimed in.

Fawful, intrigued by the robot, flew from the sewers and hovered at a safe distance, watching its movements. How had Bowser come into possession of such destructive technology? Fawful himself had been able to down his Koopa Kruiser in a few shots...If the Koopa King had access to more powerful science, then you could bet your bottom bean that Fawful would find a way to get his little hands on it.

The robot paused in its attack to look down at the two Princesses.

What it did next, I don't think anyone expected.

It spoke.

After that, it went back to tearing the building apart.

"It's going to break the palace to pieces if we don't stop it soon!" Peach fretted.

"So, we stop it, then!" Daisy cried.

Joining hands, the two princess flew up with the help of Peach's parasol, landing on Mecha Bowser's snout.

"This is the last chance you get!" Peach warned. "Stop attacking my castle-"

"Or we'll beat your mechanized brains out!" Daisy threatened, cracking her knuckles.

"WAAAH!" Peach cried, barely managing to open her parasol in time to avoid being squashed.

Daisy, however, wasn't so lucky...
"WHOA!" The Sarasaland Princess was launched clear across the castle grounds, little more than an auburn-haired bullet streaking towards the ground.

"DAISY!" Peach shrieked. She tried to fly to catch her cousin, but she couldn't move fast enough-

Fawful blinked. What was that flying towards him?
The realization came too late-

"OOF!"

The mad Beanish and the flower princess collided painfully and hit the ground, both out cold.

The robot was almost done destroying the castle when a figure cackled within its cockpit.

<OPENING-COCKPIT> the robot said before the top of its head drew back in a manner reminiscent of a hood being pulled down.

Steam rose out of the cockpit, temporarily preventing anyone from seeing the person who was watching the destruction of the castle from inside the metal monstrosity.
