Francis was talking about this in the chat two days ago. I thought I'd see what everybody thinks about it. He would be able to pay for the Cbox, and keep the Nerr Chat. Or perhaps get a better chat, even! I know there are some people that would click on the ads so we could get money. |

If it helps Digibutter, okay.
Although I differ to "Screw the chat" if we have to ad-infest Digibutter for it. What if Francis enters a capture contact and in the ned sopme evil company owns Digibutter and milks it for every last cent ?

As the site grows, it will cost more and more to keep it running.
So eventually I will need to figure out something to help pay the bills.
Generic ads like Google Ads suck though and probably wouldnt be very successful. I'd rather have a sponsorship or something. |

Clicking ads would be a great way to pass time on boring days, so yes.
Also because it would help digibutter. I would click ads 5 minutes a day... |

Popups: Heck no.  They get really annoying, and get through blocks if you've allowed popups to get PM alerts.
Ads on the top: Possibly
Ads at the side or the bottom: Sure, so long as it doesn't muck up the site width too much. I already have to scroll right a bit to see all of the text. |

On the very bottom and tops of the page is the only thing I'll tolerate. No way am I swimming through a sea of pop-ups every time I post. |

Pop-ups: No.
Ads at the top: Maybe, but nothing that spawns popups or plays sound or music. (FE: Those very annoying free smiley ones that go "HELLLOOOOO!!!!")
Ads at the bottom. This is fine, but once again, not one that spawns popups or plays sound or music.
Ads that appear between posts: No.
Ads that appear as you enter the site: No. |
