It doesn't seem like a Mario game. The music is really peaceful and calming like Pikmin and the starbit shooting reminds me of throwing Pikmans. Also, the spaceship from Pikmin 2 is in the Space Junk Galaxy.

I think the music is more epic than calm.
Except the Observatory. That's nice.
And I don't think of this as a Pikmin game. |
