You all hear it. "Happy holidays."
We've reached the point where it's almost obscene to say the name of the holiday you celebrate.
I've always wondered, who here actually cares if someone says "Happy/Merry [insert holiday you don't celebrate]." on the announcements or on the radio? Because it seems like a silly thing to get worked up about.
And who here actually bothers to be politically correct?
Unless you shove your religion down my throat, you can celebrate however you want and announce it to the world. I'm fine with that.
I'm happy to say, I'll be celebrating Christmas this holiday season. |

Saying "Happy Holidays" means you cover everyone all at once.. even those who dont celebrate anything (they still have a holiday from work).
Its all about psychology and making money. Businesses want to include everyone (cause then they will be happy and buy their stuff). Although many times they will say Merry Christmas too because most people are actually celebrating Christmas, and they know you will think "Cool they actually said Christmas", and you will like them more than the competitors. Although very few stores will actually mention Jesus in any marketing. |
