The other week I was in Kinokuniya, a Japanese bookstore, and they had this book about American otaku. I didn't get it, but I browsed through it, and on one page they had drawings morbidly obese girls dressed in sailor suits. It was hilarious. XD
*edit* I wasn't trying to use any profanity there; that's what the sailor outfits are called. ;.; |
Isn't otaku the word used to describe an idiot who is obsessed with japan?

Well, in Japan it really just means a frightening nerd. Over here, it's used for a bit more casual sphere of fans. There are idiots and intelligent people alike in the mix. |

I don't worship Japan, but I like the way they do things sometimes. |

Meh. I like doing it then because I can. And Naruto? No. I dressed up as an X-Naut and Luigi. |

Well... I don't care if you make the costumes yourself. But if you buy k-mart costume, you can just go die... Halloween is becoming too much of a money hassle.
Plus, if I use this philisophy, then when I get kids, they can just go out wearing the bedsheets. |

Haha... yeah, anything I'd ever really want to dress up as, no store would have, so I just look for moderately easy ones to make that I'd like, and do those. Not a world of effort goes into them, but hey, I'm dressing up for going around in the dark for free candy on one day of the year, not a wedding or some other formal event. >_> |
