since Christmas is right around the corner, I figure I might suggest some of my ideas:

Make the party like a Mario Party.

Make everypost like a space, when you post, you "land on a random space" like blue, so you get an extra 3 coins and the same for red, -3 coins. And all the other spaces like:
? Space: Activates special board-specific event
Bowser Space: some bowser event
DK Space: some dk event
Lucky Space: Activates some fortunate event
and maybe more.

Items/Candies

Red Candies (affects the post itself)

Twice Candy - plus 2 coins
Thrice Candy - plus 3 coins

Green Candies (makes impact before the person posts)

Springo Candy - switches a persons post with a person who posted in the topic
Cashzap Candy - makes the next poster unable to post

Vampire Candy - next poster gets - 3 coins and the person who used the item gets the coins

Yellow Candies (makes impact while the person posts)

Bitsize Candy - makes the poster earn + 3 coins for the poster for the next 3 posts they make
Bloway Candy - next posters post gets moved to the begining of the topic
Bowlo Candy - next poster loses 10 coins and the user of the item gets the coins
Weeglee Candy - takes a random candy from the next poster and gives it to the user of the item

Blue Candies (makes massive impact when the person posts)

Thwomp Candy - takes away 13 of the next posters coins
Bullet Candy - Can steal a star from the next poster
Bowser Candy - takes 20 coins or 2 stars from the next poster and gives them to the user of the item
Duelo Candy - ?????

Stars

stars can be something Francis adds like in Mario party, the user with the most Stars at the end of the party gets so kind of prize.

Different Boards

Like in MP there can be different boards (skins) that have there own banner and there own effects. And members on the same board can only see members and their posts on that board.

Orbs

Like character orbs in MP7, but they have different users on them instead of mp7 characters and they have there own effects. like name Color changing ones or mp and hp effects.

Lord Bowser Orbs can take place instead of bowser.

and when you by an orb what you get is completely random and if you get the LB orb it can do random things to you like spray paint your name pink, temporarly change your name and take away your coins and stars.

Item bag

Gives you 3 random items.

I like some of your suggestions. Of course, I also think there should be another epic boss battle. Maybe Giga Bowser again, or Robo-Santa or something.

I agree that an actual "Mario Party" would be fun. Or just something special...as far as I can tell, parties have been in-character dumps (referring to THE Dump, not actual awful places).

I think that the most special of holidays deserves a rennovation of some sort. Getting this set up and launching it on the 23rd...is that the hardest thing in the world? Any one of us mods would gladly look it over at every moment we can.
