Are you concerned about our country? Have you thought about missiles flying into the U.S. and destroying things? Take a minute to think about that. The U.S. has a weak defense that must be improved. An anti-ballistic missile (ABM) is a missile designed to counter ballistic missiles. The U.S. is creating less and less of these, and soon there will be none. The Defense Government should be stepping up to the plate and should start making more. The problem is that previous presidents, have been letting barely no money to go into this project when it should be increased. That’s why some may argue, but probably income taxes should be increased. The marginal tax percentage, the percentage of the income tax, varies on increasing or decreasing the income earned or spent. If this was increased, then people would be paying more and the percent of increase on the income tax would now be donated to the Defense Government in an effort to improve the production of the anti-ballistic missiles.
Anti-Ballistic missiles, as mentioned earlier, are used to protect the U.S. from any incoming attacks. There has been a decline in production but many people don’t understand how it can protect us. Space-based sensors detect an object headed for the U.S. The information is relayed to ground-based infrared sensors and radar systems, which also follow the object's trajectory. If the object is identified as an incoming missile, a ground-, air-, or marine-based missile is launched to intercept it. The missile is guided based on co-ordinates provided by sensors tracking the incoming missile. If this is unsuccessful, the process is repeated. The incoming missile is knocked out by the energy that is transferred in the collision between the two missiles. There is no explosion and the debris from the collision burns up as it enters the Earth's atmosphere. Military officials describe the process as trying to “hit a bullet with another bullet” (Quote from Missile Defense Agency). It isn’t as complicated as it seems but it’s complex to make. If money is donated to this project then we will be guaranteed protection.
Here's A Picture of the System:
Another issue on the anti-ballistic missiles is where is the money going to come from? With the war in Iraq, many funds are depleting. There needs to be an alternate solution. All Americans are concerned with the minimum wage and how much salary we can earn. We, as people of America are going to have to accept a larger income tax. An individual's income tax depends upon their income and their tax-filing classification. As of 2006, there are six tax brackets for ordinary income (ranging from 10% to 35%) and four classifications: single, married filing jointly (or qualified widow or widower), married filing separately, and head of household. Preferably, if these percentages were increased to about 15% to 40%, then the extra earnings could be donated to this project (Statistics by Tax Rates). It may seem as a large difference, but it is for the safety for the country.
Income tax was the chosen key because it will cause the people of America to try to get a higher-paying job (everyone wants one of those), they know that they will donate but also the higher-paying job, the higher income tax. If made an actual law it could go as for a few years until the project has enough money. Then, the government can reduce the income tax percentages to the place that they were.
It would be cost worthy, people would not be as gaining enough money, but you would be actually saving lives. Hundreds, thousands, millions of lives could be saved, just by passing bill to increase the income tax. The bill could only last until the project was done and the bill would no longer stay in effect. The U.S. can be saved by people like you.
Do you agree with this? |

A) XD Your picture is broken.
b) A weapon is a weapon and is made for hurting people. There are no weapons for defense (only counterattacking), there are only weapons to attack. AND I ESPECIALLY DISAGREE WHEN AMERICA WANTS TO PLANT THAT "ANTI-MISSILE" MISSILES IN EUROPE !
I'm sorry, but this isn't Bushs bloody country, and he wants to plant missile launchers here.
Let alone the fact that the CIA and NSA don't give a flying shit that they have no right to spy on out telephone conversations. |
