The world is supposed to change drastically.
From what I have researched and heard, the Earth's magnetic poles are supposed to swap, which means the North Pole will become Negative charge (South Pole) and the South Pole will become a Positive charge (North Pole).
This is because of the pull of the two on each other for all of Earth's life. Opposite Poles attract, even if they are on the same object, of course.
During this phase, all electrical devices such as computers, cell phones, and other such devices will malfunction due to the surges of electrical energy due to the shifting of the Poles charges. That means that all connections and mainframes could be perminentally deleted. Plus, mankind would be without such technology until they developed enough devices with swaped electrical components to be able to work in the disrupted magnetic field.
To add to that, many animals that rely on the magnetic field for travel and migration would go haywire due to the dirupted magnetic field. Birds would start going North for the winter, and other such occurances would happen.
Now let this though sink into your mind.....
What do you think of this? |

I heard that in five years the world will end. Either by switching of poles, flamey doom, aliens, or the ressurection of Nero. |

It could be another 6.5 million years until they reverse again. The time is unpredictable when they would swap again.
This could be total apocolyptic mayhame. The entire world would be thrown for a loop if this happens.
And think of this! The climates are affected by the magnetic field as well. Certain currents of air and water flow in certain directions determined by the field. |

The world would be pretty messed up, mostly and only for humans and migratory animals. |

It was begining to happen in 2000, but just the first stages.
Imagine the weather as well, with the currents being disrupted. |

You know....I'm a good writer...I could probably make a good story out of it...hrmm...yes.....
I'll look at the sources later and post some links. Perhaps tomarrow if I have the time. |

THe poles DO SWAP about every 50 million years (or was it 50,000 ^^'). Scientist have discovered rocks on the ocean floor that have magnetic fields that swapped every certain distance. Or something like that anyway I don't think the next swap will happen so soon though. |

Oh yeah, I heard about this.
And in billions and billions of years, what will happen to the universe is the opposite of the big bang, where everything goes back into one mass again, but, if we humans are actually still alive, we need to find a resource of energy, or something like that... |
