For those of you who celebrate Christmas, what kind of tree will you have this year?
I have always had a real tree. I love the smell and the look of the real thing. Its fun to go and pick one out too, even better if you can go to a real tree farm and cut it down fresh. Another benefit is that they are much better for the environment than fake trees. You can find one here: http://www.christmastree.org
The downsides are the needles can make a mess, you have to water it, and it can be a fire hazard if you aren't careful. |

We've had a fake tree since before I was born
But I don't really mind. Still serves the purpose |

I'd love to have a real tree, but we've had a fake one for years and my parents don't see the point in buying one when we already have one.. :/
Also the Christmas tree always goes behind where I'm sitting now, so I kinda like where I am around Christmas time :3 |

We stopped using our fake tree five years ago. It was so old that the plastic was turning blue green.
Real trees dry if you get them too early, meaning easier house fire. But they smell wonderful. |

My family got a fake one ages ago. We assemble it every Christmas then decorate it.
It fits in the living room prefectly and we always get four new ornaments a year (as well as lots of bead-necklaces from a relative in Vegas), so the tree is never the same every two years. But... We didn't put it up last year. And I doubt that there will be one this year either...
We're just too busy to set up decorations like that... |

Even though I don't celebrate Christmas, I put up a fake tree. Thats where we put my birthday (Dec 25) presents and New Years presents. |

For me, I have always gotten a real tree. I love the smell, size, and feel; things fakes don't have. It has always been tradition to get a real tree, anyways. |

My family always gets the real trees. Only once, the tree tipped over and crushed a few ornaments. We even hang up old ornaments from 1980 and earlier. Plus, the smell is nice. |

I love real trees because of the smell. Then again, I live in Washington so I can just go outsid and get the same smell XD
After we bought a tree from the boy scouts that had a trunk that was at a right angle (I'd pay 10 bucks to find out how the tree grew like that XD), it fell over with all our ornaments on it. My mom was so ticked, she threw the whole thing out the door XD Ever since then we haven't had a real tree |

I have a Norfolk Island Pine. You don't chop it down, so it's like a living Christmas tree. |

I have a fake tree. It would be nice to put up a real tree, but we don't really ever water plants. The main downsides are that you create your own bald spots and trying to screw four nails onto a toothpick is nigh impossible. |
