http://www.nintendo.com/

Oh, and it isn't enough that the site has become completely casual-oriented; they've completely removed every game pre-DS and Wii from their database.

Well, what do you expect when games for GBA and Gamecube are literally Yesterday's News? I mean, what is today, but yesterday's tomorrow?

I like the new layout.. but they did remove a ton of stuff.

They have totally stripped out all community features like game ratings. ( http://www.nintendowifi.com still has a link to the NSider forums Confused )
Also, none of the game pages have screenshots or videos.

I bet it has a lot to do with not being affiliated with Nintendo Power anymore.

Are all the pages just the text on the back of the box?

Well, there's negatives to this, but there's possibly a positive, as well. The negative being obvious (Lack of content), and the positive depending on how you look at it- Seeing that Nintendo owes alot of its success to casual games, making the site more casual-oriented could be a good thing. At least, for Nintendo. My own opinion towards the new layout/style is neutral, but I do agree that the lack of content is a major step back.

Isn't Nintendo Power's site basically going to become the new Nintendo website anyway.

Nintendo keeps forgetting that Hard-core gamers exist. I think ssbb is gonna be the last hard-core one for a while, and even then they're simplifying it. Sad

I really hope that I will not lose my collected stars... I've registered a lot of games, you know.

I've been generalizing the updates, and seeing that Sakurai is making a concious approach toward making the game more accessible.

And, with Nintendo, this tends to lessen the learning curve.

^ *OFF-TOPIC* I looked at your sig, Myst, and I hate you now.

*On-Topic* Yes, it sucks. They don't know any Hard-Core gamer anymore.
