After watching Ratatouille, and having my faith in Pixar renewed, I was inspired to make this thread.
In your opinion, what would be some of the best animated movies ever made? The decision can include any genre or style of animation, wether it be 2D or 3D.
Well, as I mentioned, I'd say that Pixar has probably made some of the finest animated movies ever made, and they are certainly at the top of the CG movie genre. Despite Cars, which was a major let-down, they are still on top, in my opinion. One can argue that their movies are "too kiddy" or whatever for older viewers, but the person that argues that would only be wrong. Pixar has, throughout their existance, included quality animation and writing that appeals to viewers of all ages; sort of like the Mario series, in gaming.
Well, anyway, what would be your examples of fine animated films? |

My favourite Pixar movie is a tie between Ratatouille and The Incredibles, with Finding Nemo and Monsters Inc. close behind. As for 2D animation (which I prefer, honestly) .... I don't even know where to start. I love so many of them. Mulan, The Iron Giant, The Prince of Egypt, both Fantasias, Treasure Planet, Who Framed Roger Rabbit (although that wasn't entirely animation), and Atlantis are just a few of my favourites. Disney's next film (The Princess and the Frog) is going to be 2D animation, and set in New Orleans during the 1920's, and have a voodoo witch as the villain. There is not one thing about that idea that I don't like. |

Well, for 2D, I like the Miyazaki movies - Howl's Moving Castle, and Castle in the Sky, as well as The Sword in the Stone. As for 3D, I like the Shrek Trilogy, and probably Madagascar. |

For 2D movies, M'aiq would say Mulan, Treasure Planet, and The Road to El Dorado.
3D, The Incredibles, Toy Story, and Finding Nemo. |

3D, The Incredibles, Toy Story, and Finding Nemo. | Maiq, you have earned OVER 9000 epic points just from today. I would have to agree with Maiq's entire post. |
