Even if she might not choose to use this particular model right away, she could still use it as a sort of golem. |

Smithy caught the headgear, at this point he had almost nearly lost his patience.
"Look organic! How many times have we been through. By now, you should know never to command me. Be glad I even gave you the chance to live!"
He was pouring steam at this point.
"Yardovich!"
Yes, milord?
"Take him to arrangements I've prepared for him, next to the other organics housing. Be sure its locked."
He looked at Fawful.
"You have 24 hours"
Yardovich took hold of the Beanish and carried him away to his quarters.

It was a good thing Yaridovich had seized Fawful when he did- the Beanish had just started to lunge at Smithy in a fit of pure killer intent, but was caught in mid-air and hauled off.
He struggled the entire way. "Be releasing me!" he yelled, thrashing and trying to pry the spear-creature's hands off of him. "Be releasing me! I will be having the killing of him!"
One fact lingered in his mind, before being swallowed up in the fog of rage- 24 hours, Smithy had said. He had 24 hours to choose- between working for Smithy and defying him; between life and death. |
