This is the Wii game for the Looney Tunes. Daffy has his own DS game, Duck Amuck, but that's a different game.
Plot: 5/10. Dr. Frankenbeans sent robots back through time to get rid of the Looney Tunes' ancestors, but they saved them and defeated his robots.
Ending: 1/10. It could've been a LOT more epic than Bugs Bunny saying, "See? It was all just a big misunderstanding."
Graphics: 8/10. Overall, good graphics and huge worlds. Not quite as big or epic as Galaxy, but...
Voice acting: 9.5/10. Every character is fully voiced, and are true to the characters from the TV series.
Sounds: 4.5/10. Sometimes the sounds get looped back on themselves, like in one of Marvin's death phrases, "Clo... Cloning time agai-". The sounds do occasionally play correctly and the effects work right.
Weapon variety: OVER 90000!/10. This is what makes the game great. There's over a dozen weapons in the Acme arsenal. My favorite is the Acme Space-Time Freeze Ray, best used in the hands of Duck Dodgers (an unlockable version of Daffy) or Marvin. The weapon freezes enemies for 10 to 15 seconds, but if you get hit by it, you're only frozen for three.
Gameplay: 7/10. It's mostly melee battles, with some platforming and a few racing levels.
Controls: 3/10. It is fairly intuitive, like in Galaxy, but when you rotate the Nunchuk to do a hover, it rarely works. But I found a replacement: Double-jump, then swing the Wii Remote (like in a melee weapon attack). You'll get just enough distance to at least ledge-grab your target.
Collectible items: 6.5/10. There are six randomly hidden character trophies in the game. Health is restored with the Acme Orange Potion, and melee power is boosted with Illudium. It might have been better if the money collectibles were something other than the stereotypical coins... Also, in a few levels, you can buy Character Skins (alternate versions of either Bugs, Daffy, or Marvin) that can be used when you replay a level.
Overall: 8/10. Nintendo Power's rating: 3/10. |
