Anyways, in RPOT, ATTN topics are used to attract that user for a public RP-related reason. |

Petey, there is a difference between ALTs and RP Characters.
Shadow, if people wanted to do that they could just send a PM saying, "omg come see the topic i made in rpot" |

Well, of course I'm going to take a side, and the one that'll benefit me the most. Such is the way of human emotion.
Just because a rule applies to one forum, and has been enforced to one forum, does not mean that it can apply to every last forum. Role-Play is sort of in its own category...we're scorned for being us, and not in-character, while acting is disliked on other areas of the site.
ATTN is good for its namesake: gathering attention. No more, no less. It gathers both the attention of the specific character, and also those who are interested in the discussion. Since there is no forwarding feature on the PM, I think ATTN is currently suitable for RPOT. |

ATTN can be used for furthering a backstory / mainstory, and what would be the good in that if only one person knew what was going on in this other person's character life? Besides, private RP is no fun when it's just two people back and forth, with nobody looking in on the situation.
RP is like a play, and there's no point to a play if no one's watching. |
