Lots of people have ideas for items lately, whether it's Brawl items or Galaxy items or ideas from Super Mario Bros. 3 or pretty much anything else. I think we should open an Item Submission constest for these many ideas.
Basically, it would go pretty much the same as the Item Submission contest we had a long time ago. People would submit their item ideas, Francis would select his favorite 10 or so items, and everybody would vote between them. The winner would recieve 50 to 200 coins and Francis would eventually make their item, and everybody else who had their item(s) make it to the poll would recieve 20 to 50 coins, and Francis might make them eventually.
Also, you can suggest the same item from a Mario game as someone else, just make sure that your item is original and different from the other person's. If Medikoopa suggested a Bee Mushroom that halved damaged dealt and taken, I would still be able to suggest a Bee Mushroom item with an entirely different effect.
There would be a basic field to fill out, something along the lines of this:

By "Title" in the first one, I mean the area below your username.
Now, for a few examples.
Also, all of the below items cannot be used while you are a Zombie or have another one of these items in use.
Item Name: Ice Flower
Item Image: 
Suggested Cost: 20-60 coins ((Sorry for being so unsure about the price, but I don't want this to be abused or become over-expensive))
Transformation item? Yes
Name/Title Change? "Ice" before name
Name/Text Colors? Light Blue. Name color will change back to normal after Ice Flower wears off.
How/when it wears off: After 5 minutes
What it does: Use this item on yourself to become "Ice Guest". When Ice Guest, every post you makes is "slippery". If somebody posts after a post you made while you made while you were Ice Guest, they take 5 damage.
Item Name: Blue Shell
Item image: ((I'll get one later))
Suggested Cost: 50 coins
Transformation item? Yes
Name/Title Change? Shell goes before name
Name/text colors? Blue. Name colors change back to normal after shell wears off.
How/when it wears off (if it wears off): Monster Cure, or if your HP goes below 30 (see below)
What it does: You cannot use this unless you have at least 40 HP. You take half damage from attacks. However, if your HP falls below or at 30, you will lose your Shell status and whoever did that damage to you will get a free shell item that does -40 HP.
Item Name: Boo Mushroom
Item image: 
Suggested Cost: 20 coins
Transformation item? Yes
Name/Title Change? Boo before name, or at the end of your title
Name/text colors? Gray name
How/when it wears off (if it wears off): Monster Cure
What it does: You can pay 2 MP to turn invisible for a half hour, which makes you unable to take damage, deal it, or heal.
Item Name: Hammer Bro Suit
Item image: 
Suggested Cost: 40 coins
Transformation item? Yes
Equip item? Yes
Name/Title Change? If you have no title, your title is Hammer Bro. If you have a title, Bro goes on the end of it. (Vampire Bro, Frozen Bro, Dead Bro, etc.)
Reusable? Yes (as in, you can unequip it and re-equip it later)
Name/text colors? None
How/when it wears off (if it wears off): Un-equip it
What it does: You are able to throw hammers that do 10 damage at the cost of only 1 MP, and can do 50 damage at the cost of 6 (or maybe 7?) MP, but you cannot use any other MP-using items.
If we do have an item submission contest, I'm submitting these items mentioned above.

That's a cool idea, but 200 coins sounds like alot for winning. Not that I'm complaining.  |

Pure-??? is nearly 8000, but he's not 9000. And there's only 2 members that have over 3000 coins. Anyway, I said 50 to 200 coins. So, it could be 50, 100, 150, or 200. 200 coins is a pretty big amount, but not a really huge amount. 1000 coins, now that's a huge amount.  |

Heh, yeah, those images were used in the items from my shop.
If Francis let us do custom effects in our user shop, I would've definitely made something along those lines of what you suggested, Ultimario.
Anyway, I support this idea. I have TONS of item suggestion ideas.
