ChaosStar's snaking/sliding/drifting thing has me concerned. He keeps saying it's not cheating, and if I don't race him while he does it then I get kicked out of his tournament. So, to you, is snaking in MKDS illegal or not? |

Well, it's part of the game, so I don't think so. |

It's completely unfair to people who can't, just because they don't want to waste time exploiting the game's features. |

ChaosStar wouldn't listen to me when I told him I don't want a snaking match. He just said "oh its called drifting you coward" |

I dont see how you could drift over and over and stay on the track. So there must be more to it than that, right? |

No, that's pretty much it. Cheapest racing tactic ever if used unknowingly. >.> |

I don't like to use it. I hate it when people decide to use it without prior knowledge to others. |

But you know they'll snake, right? If someone went up to you and asked you for a MKDS race, and they snaked without telling you and you didn't know how/didn't like to snake, and accused you of being a coward when you disconnect and say they won, would you be pissed? |

So, it does require great skill right? If so, then I dont see how one could expect the racer to handicap himself. And how could know if he snaked at all? Both of you would have to agree to not drift at all. |

It does require a little bit of skill to not send yourself hurling off the edge of a cliff. It only requires enough skill to know how to drift.
And I could tell he was snaking, as: 1. I could see the traditional snaking pattern when I was near him at the start of the race. 2. He called it drifting, sliding, etc. 3. He said it was a legit part of the game. 4. He accused me of doing it after we agreed to have a match where we both employed our tactics. Still thinks it's called drifting, too.
And do you think I didn't try to get him to agree not to? I did, but he kept saying that it was a legit part of the game, and pretty much completely ignored and shut out my pleas. |

I use it often. I find it not cheating, yet a game tactic. |

If it's a part of the game, then it can't really be called cheating.
cheating is if he uses action replay or so. |
