Pretty basic, and touched upon countless times, as well as in many forms all throughout the Internets, but I thought I'd ask for the hell of it: What's your favorite Zelda game out of all the ones you have played? Going under the assumption that you actually like and have experienced any Zelda games, of course.

And if you would break this down further, feel free. Example: Both your favorite home console Zelda game and your favorite handheld system Zelda game, to be more precise and categorial.

Any reasons for why the game(s) is/are actually your favorite always helps too, naturally.

Ocarina of Time. ESPECIALLY with a Pants playthrough. However, Majora's Mask wins my heart music-wise.

For home consoles:

A very close match between Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess. They both have their positives and negatives.
Well, I think I'll call it a tie. TP had such beautiful graphics and innovative gameplay, but then Ocarina of Time was more innovative yet. Both have awesome storylines. Both had memorable songs and characters.

For handheld consoles:

A Link to the Past, the remake for the GBA, was definately one of the best Zelda games of all time. It had a cool storyline, it looked awesome and offered you many hours of fun.

Perhaps, though I have not fully beaten it, Phantom Hourglass could be better. It certainly has more innovativity, but the seafaring Zelda games are not exactly my favourites...

Well, I'll call it a tie between those two.

Majora's Mask, without a doubt. That game was one of the only games in the series that crafted a world that felt real.

Yeah. It wasn't my favorite Zelda, either. Aside from TP, I like the old ones better.

And by old ones, I mean any of them in the style of the first one.

Anyways, my favorite console one has to be Twilight Princess, and hand held would be either Phantom Hourglass or Minish Cap.

Flavio has ALWAYS hated Twilight Princess, every thing was horrrible about it. The story line was sub-par, the graphics, though nice, just weren't the Legend of Zelda style we know and love. The controls were clunky (Flavio thought so at least), the dungeons were too easy, the puzzles were shitty, and so on.

Flavio also doesn't get why everyone likes OoC so much. Sure, it's a good game, but it's not great.

Majora's Mask takes the cake as greatest Legend of Zelda game. Like Fancy Wario said, it's the only one that felt real...

Yah, that's pretty much how I feel. the last part, that is. I've tried the original zelda and didn't like it, but loved a link to the past, so it kinda varies.

And I still ****ing love majora's mask. I WANT IT FOR THE VC DAMNIT.

What's your favorite Zelda game out of all the ones you have played?

I can't choose...

Zelda 1, which not only got the series started, but had memorable lines like "ITS DANGEROUS TO GO ALONE TAKE THIS" and started the 'old-man that can kill you' thing (see Link's Awakening, Thieving the Shopkeeper)

Zelda 2 was fun and had a rather interesting setup, both plot and gameplay (birds-eye view for world-map, profile view for battle). Also, there were yet more memorable lines. "I AM ERROR" is one. And then there's the... well, 'healing houses'. I wanna know WHY every woman has to take Link inside for three seconds. They could heal him outside, but... -_-; My friend Sam has a rather... interesting explanation for this. Slut-healing.

Link to the Past... Fun to look at, to play... I forget if it was this, but I think this started the Killer Cuccos and it had the first transformation: Bunny Link. AND it started the Realm of Darkness.

Link's Awakening: It was fun. I liked the photos, they were amusing. This, in my eyes, began the 'annoying guide'. Stupid owl. "The Windfish is just in name, for it is neither." More Cuccos of Death. I liked the 'collect instruaments' idea. Also, the whole 'Thief' thing amused me.

There's Ocarina of Time (N64), with its plot and the 'beginning' of the whole Ganondorf-Zelda-Link connection... Not much can be said about it that will be or has already been said. One of the classics.

There's Majora's Mask (N64), which was fun and had a lot of unique masks, enemies, and was so in-depth in its characters' lives... Although the three-day limit was annoying, I loved the fact that you could redo some things. Sidequests, for example. Also, the new transformations were cool. Oni-Link was kickass. Goron was neat. I loved the Zora (especially his instrument). Deku looked so sad... I forget about the others, its been a while... But they were all cool. Majora, at the end of the game, scared me... T-T

Wind Waker: Sailing is boring, but this had many fun things to it. I loved it when Link did the cat-impression. This game was more of a slapstick comedy then serious adventure. A good thing, actually. I didn't care much for Ganondorf's new look, but the game's plot was awesome and Tetra was cool. The King of Red Lions was neat. I hated the look of that mask which lets you see your opponent's health, but it was useful. Overall, a fun game.

Minish Cap: Easy, but fun. The Kinstone thing was a little annoying and I didn't really like the Figurines, but I liked the Minish-world. The Keaton enemies were a surprise, but it was a nice reference to the N64 Zelda games.

Twilight Princess: Amazing. The graphics. The characters. The plot. The enemies. All amazing. I love Midna. So happy to have a helper that's not a faery or an owl. The Wolf-Transformation is neat and fun. I love the Howl Stones. Only thing I don't like so far is the fact that the Gorons have rock nipples... o_o;

Phantom Hourglass: So far, this is a fun game. When I first heard Ceilia, I thought "Oh no... No! I WAS FREE FROM HER! NO! NOT NAVI!" because she sounds JUST LIKE her! I calmed down when I saw she was white not blue, and was completely at ease when I read her name. Linebeck's a self-centered jerk. He actually reminds me of Flavio a little (game-Flavio). When I saw the Spirit of Power, I thought "Hmm... I bet you that Ceilia's the last one..." and "... What? WHAT?! Not more of them!" I have a feeling that I'm going come to hate the Phantom Hourglass Temple, since I saw another mark of the Goddesses on a door in the lower levels... This means that I'll probably have to go back there and do everything all over again at least two more times... That sucks.
Battle mode of Phantom Hourglass: Eh, somewhat fun, but half the times I played, I got snaked. And if you ask 'how', the guy vanished. I'm guessing they turned off their DSs or something...

I keep forgetting the name, so I refer to it as Phantom Temple or Phantom Hourglass Temple.
