If we use an item that will change our username's background color, will it still keep the color of the letters? Or will it reset?

it depends, some will give you black text but a colored background

and some will give you a colored text

If the color1 or color2 is set to "erase" like soap, it will clear that color.

For example the Spraypaint cans will set one color, and clear the other.

But if you have an item that only sets one color, then the other is left alone.
