I keep trying to update, but it wont. Its the update with Wii Shop Gifting and the new photo channel. Whenever the update is halfway done, it says there was a problem connecting to the Internet, it told me to configure internet settings. So I reenter SSID, and the WEP Key, but its still not working. I HAVE 2000 WII POINTS THAT NEED SPENDING! |

did you search for an access point? There's a possibility the network didn't have the default types of security for wii. |

Also there could be the possibility, of having a slower connection, or the access point is further away. You are using a wireless connection? |

He wouldn't need to enter the SSID and WEP if it were wired. |

I wasn't exactly sure, because my friend had a wired connection, which required him to enter the SSID and WEP, for security purposes. |

Hmm...that's weird. If it's wireless, you should check how far it is away from the access point. Try moving it or the access point closer. |
