Normally, when I talk about a movie I've seen I try to compare it to another movie, so I can say something like "If you liked _______, you'll probably like _______."
But I can't really think of anything to compare Sweeney Todd to. It's very... different. And bloody. Like seriously. If you don't like blood, stay far, far away from this movie.
It's a musical, but I didn't think any of the songs were particularly good or memorable. They fit into the story perfectly, sure, but I don't think I'm going to bother buying (or downloading :P) the soundtrack.
Despite the mediocrity of the music, I give Sweeney Todd a thumbs up. Would watch again.
Has anyone else here seen Sweeney Todd, and if so what are your thoughts on it? |

I'm a fan of Tim Burton, and I like Johnny Depp in Burton films (gotta love Edward Scissorhands), so I really wanna see this. It's based off a real Broadway musical, actually. |

I just saw this movie last night and I loved it.
The opening title is filmed/animated in a great way.
The movie is incredibly bloody though.
The world is shot in like a grey/black look, and then the blood is bright.
It has short bits of comedy.
