I was waiting for this.

But anyways... this is just plain dumb. It is your CD, so the artist got their share and no harm was done.

I agree, I think it's okay if you don't actually distribute the music anywhere else. besides, how can they even find out if you keep the files on your computer and don't share them?

Some FBI guys could end up busting into your house, and ask you for written consent to put music on your computer, and if you don't have it, you don't have a computer, anymore, because those FBI guys destroy your computer with gunfire! What's THAT gonna cost you? Nearly a thousand bucks, just to get a NEW computer!

This isn't a matter of right or wrong, it's a matter of legal or illegal.

The RIAA isn't suing the guy over it, they're just being dicks about it.

RIAA would like to think so, but it is not, and they will probalby never sue someone for it. This dude was sued for sharing the music on Kazaa.

Well, actually, if the CD has DRM to restrict you from ripping songs off of it, then technically it is illegal to do so because it violates the DMCA, which made it illegal to bypass any DRM regardless of the reason. (in the USA)

And with what's going on, the only CURRENT way for me to get the Full Version of the first opening from Bomberman Jetters is for me to go to a Japanese Goods store I learned about, months ago, while trying to find the RID Ultra Magnus, and buy the Suwa Hideo CD it's on!
