No, not really. Most of the time, their off-topic is a place where you can still joke around and post a few non-serious things in addition to straying off-topic for a bit. |

In all honesty, adding a Serious Discussion would make the site look a bit more professional. Right now all we have is "Off Topic" and "The Dump", which makes it seem like we have SO much spam, we need TWO forums for it... |

If we rename either or both the dump or off-topic, and do a lot of clean up, we could turn one of them into serious topics. |

if we do that, it's definitely renaming off topic. Off Topic doesn't contribute much to the site, and the dump serves as a sort of "trash can"

I think this would be a great idea, it would add maturity to the board.
I know a list of people that definitely shouldn't be mods, but let's be gracious and not mention names shall we? |

I support the making a new forum for Serious Discussion. As someone said before, The Dump is for total crap, Off-Topic is for neutral, fun, non-gaming-related discussions, and Serious Discussion is for stuff that's really serious.
But I do not think someone who intentionally posts inflammatory topics in The Dump just to create internet drama deserves mod status. |
