ETA - I don't know if you'd consider it "emo crap," but it's a highly emotional song about what it feels like to truly think that suicide is the answer.
This is part of why I hate emos with a mortal passion. :X They have NO IDEA what it is like to live with depression. They wear it like a badge of pride, and sit around comparing little wrist scratches.
I've even seen shirts that say crap like "I'm schizophrenic, and so am I" in attempt to be funny. First of all, that's MPD, not schizophrenia. (Schizophrenia is closer to paranoia disorder than it is to MPD, in which you talk to yourself, because you're afraid that if you talk to other people they'll backstab you and shit.) My friend's mom is schizophrenic, and if you've seen this lady you know it's NOT something to glamorize and it IS NOT FUNNY AT ALL.
Emo kids should have a chemical imbalance that they'll need to be on drugs and therapy for the rest of their life because of. Feel that feeling of utter hopelessness. Spend their Christmas vacation in a mental hospital after taking a bottle of sleeping pills. They'll stop glamorizing, and pretending they have, mental illnesses. They'll stop right away. It's people like that who fake it for drama's sake, that cause therapists to turn teenagers who really DO have problems away.
With that said, this song, and its beautiful (albeit poorly translated) lyrics really seem to capture the honest-to-God misery that major depression brings. I'm done ranting now. (Can you tell this is a HUGE pet peeve of mine?)

I agree with everything you said, Jolene D: I hate it when people (and genres) are stereotyped like that. Half the time it doesn't even make any sense, either... I wear arm bands and black clothes, but I'm a ball of hyperactivity most of the time, nowhere near close to the "emo" stereotype. I'm not "goth" or "punk" either, I just like dressing the way I want *shrugs*
Anyway, for favorite song, I guess... I like a lot of stuff, it's hard to pick.
WARNING: This list may contain "Emo Crap". To be honest, I don't care if you think it's "Emo Crap". I like it, so it's on the damn list.
Giant tie list of doom:
Iron Man - Black Sabbath Getting Away With Murder - Papa Roach Kryptonite - 3 Doors Down End to All Hope - Nightwish Loser - Three Doors Down Numb - Linkin Park By Myself - Linkin Park In The End - Linkin Park Somewhere Only We Know - Keane Is It Any Wonder? - Keane My Sitar - I forgot the artist, I just like the song Dance Dance - Fall Out Boy
