http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technological_singularity

I found this article interesting. It also goes along with my US doom-renissance theory. The article is about Technological Singularity. The term refers to an unpreceded acceleration in technology. It also has AI integrated as a main issue. Somethink that AI that is at/above human level will spur this event. Please read the article. I read all of it. In order to have a good discussion with me, you must read most of it.

How can AI smarter than a human if it's made by a human?

It's bound to happen. They've proven that AI can learn if it's advanced enough, so it won't be too long before technology suprasses us. Hell, it won't be long before they learn they're superior to us and take over.

So all those movies where robots or something take over the world... It's actually gonna happen sometime soon.

That is why they need a master shutdown switch. Do major testing on the robot, see what happens. If things go wrong, master shutdown. Kill them.

Technology evolves faster than any animal, it changes so fast. 10 years ago, windows was new!

That's actually creepy, but interesting. It's certainly a high possibility.

So...how would we avoid something like this? I mean, I don't see the need to make computers any more advanced in AI, unless it's for a good reason. Well, that's my opinion, anyways...

The scary thing is that it's not like Sci-Fi. It could easily happen before any of us even reach 50. It's weird. I read it all...and it makes sense. All of it.

That's amazing. With technology like that, our lives will be much easier in the future.

On an added note, I heard while watching TV that in the future, we might be able to ditch our bodies altogether and live inside robotic bodes.

Awesome. That means Emo Plastic can cut his wrists and only need a new paint job.

Yeah. Bad thing is, they're only physically dumping your personality. Will it really be you in the new body, or just some clone?

Good point...then that would kind of be a waste...

I would really appreciate existing, here. :|

There is also the possibility that human intelligence is not in the brain, or not confined to the brain. There would need to be AI tests in which hardware is built to do the same thing as the brain. In fact, since the brain develops, so will this machine have to. Then we can analyze that robotic brain and try to do the same thing with software.

Also, human intelligence is the highest we know of, that does not mean we cannot create an AI system that can increase its own intelligence or be higher than standard human intelligence. In fact, there are humans above standard human intelligence. =P

Why would you think human is the max. I think you can have infinitely high intelligince.

If you get to know my thoughts then you know alot about possibility. It's everywhere.
