For those of you who don't keep up with the Dojo updates...
Olimar is in Brawl, with help from the Pikmin of course. I hear that this is the last of the "newcomers" updates and the rest of the new characters will be secret.

Interesting that Olimar can't really fight without the Pikmin. This should be a quirky character to play with like the Ice Climbers. Does this mean that Pikmin grow all over the stage? Or does he have to do something to get them to grow where he wants?
Will Bandwidths make an appearance?

I'm willing to bet that his final smash is summoning bandwidth to nom it and get superpowered. =o
Really, I don't see why it's such big news. It's like DeDeDe. Just some person off to the side that I barely know and could care less about. =/ |

He is unlike any other character, in that Olimar himself can not attack (or has very weak attacks).
It is a newcomer, which we havn't seen in a while and may be the last newcomer update we get
There will probably be Pikmin stages, items, etc.
Pikmin is a well-liked franchise, even if you dont.
This is a good sign that there will be new Pikmin games soon. |

This is epic enough for its own thread in my opinion. I can't wait to be playing underground with a bulborb eating people and being attacked 'til they die or being in th ewistful wild being attacked by gatling groinks.

That's enough derailing. I am glad to see Olimar in Brawl, though. He will probably be the most unique character... and for his Final Smash... I can see a Pikmin Swarm, maybe boosted by the Pepperup Spray. |
