Yush, Ima do it.
Why do great empires always fall? Well, let's talk about something completely "unrelated" to that, cells.
Why do cells divide to grow as opposed to keep growing indefinitely? Well, a number of reasons...
SLOWER PROCESSES How much time does a molecule of glucose take from the cell membrane to a mitochondrion? It takes a small enough amount of time that the cell can keep continuing the process of cellular respiration (or fermentation) without dying in between the pauses. How much time does a molecule of glucose take to cross a foot or a meter or a mile? Cell = dead.
DNA FAILURE Ahh yes, the molecule of DNA. Well, there is only one copy of DNA in a single cell. DNA is very tiny. RNA would take forever to complete the protein synthesis process. Without protein synthesis. Cell = DEAD.
How it is this completely "unrelated" to empires? Well, think about the roman empire. It was huge. Gues what happened to it. It was conquered and divided. Poor fat cell couldn't take the stress. Empire = DEAD!
Therefore, I conclude that large empires are very likely to crumble and divide.
And you people thought biology and history were completely "related"! |
