We all know there are multiple names for everyone's favorite drink, and they usually differ by region. What do you call it? I usually call it pop, since that's the term I heard all my life, but I find myself calling it soda from time to time.

I've always called it "pop", but since I joined Digibutter and met Orangesoda, I've found myself saying soda on occasion, too.

Pop in the area I live. I have a girl from Canada in my Tech class, and she calls everything soda. Bugs the hell out of me for some reason. <.<

In Texas, its always called Coke, no matter what brand it is

but I learned to talk in Connecticut where its called Soda, so that's what I call it

this made me laugh because I remember a friend of mine moved to Colorado for a time and ranted on and on about how the people there keep insisting on calling it pop, and get mad when you try to call it soda

it drove him insane, and when he told the story, we all had a grand time making fun of people from Colorado for theier strange carbonated beverage term

also, it should be noted that most Texans mock the fact that they call everything Coke

It depends. If you're talking about Coca Cola or Sprite, it's pop. If it's orange or grape, it's soda.
