Pong is a radical new game that tries to defy all preset notions we have about video games by stripping out unneeded aspects such as graphics, gameplay, and stories to create something that is truly unique. Pong is about simplicity and deep inner meaning unlike many of it's peers.

Gameplay- 10/10

There is no gameplay is Pong. Pong isn't about the gameplay, it's about becoming more comfortable with yourself as a human being. As you sit there moving your white line to deflect a square at another white line, you may find you learn a lot about yourself. Why am I deflecting this square at another line similar to mine? Is there a point? Does life have a point?IS the square a metaphor of the global sum of money and power and how it moves the hands through each generation and culture every century? If the square stopped moving, would this bring an end to these lines? These barriers between cultures that separate us from world peace? Is that square, that power; neigh! every human being on this great earth being controlled by some otherworldly being, and do we have the means to rebel? Are we truly unique with individual thoughts, or is our every action being manipulated by some greater force? Are we not all just lines? Truly Pong is a much deeper experience than even the recently released BioShock. This game is perhaps the closest thing to a religious experience we as mortal men will ever have.

Graphics & Music: 10/10

The silence and simplicity of Pong is it's greatest asset. For just like the universe around us, it is a black void devoid of almost no color or sound despite the dim beeping beacon of life that fills but one molecular sized cubicle of the great hole in reality we live in. Perhaps Pong strives to symbolize death? When the final breath of mankind is taken, will this be the purgatory every man, woman, and child will experience? A dark lifeless gaping tear in the fabric of all that holds us sane? Pong is a game to be experience, as the atmosphere that it creates is indescribable in our archaic english language. There have not yet been words created that can describe the masterpiece that is Pong.

Overall Score:

This is simply the biggest surprise of 2008. No. This is a revolution in the why we play, the way we define games. Pong is an emotional roller coaster that could never be described in a simple text review such as this. Pong is an experience that every person on this planet should try at least once. Pong has brought games out of it's slowly growing niche, and turned it into the greatest art form that man has ever created. The team that created this game are nothing short of gods.
