I always thought Bowser kidnapped Peach to lure Mario into his traps so no one could stand in his way of conquering the Mushroom Kingdom, yet Super Paper Mario implies he does it because he loves the princess. Which one is it?  |

Why? That sounds alot like that persons idea in Nintendo Power (i think it was Super Mario Romance Island) |

It's pretty much both. Bowser is in a love triangle, I think.
Bowser-> <3 Peach-> <3 Mario
Basically, Bowser likes Peach, yet Peach doesn't like him, but likes Mario. So Bowser does both by stealing her and doing romantic stuff to her (non-sexual , of course. God. >_>) and at the same time, trying to destroy Mario.
Yet he phails all the time. Not really romantic, is it? |
