I really do not see any reason I should believe. So I ask of you, tell me why you believe.

They have no proof of wherever something exists or not, and instantly declare "No existance!".

Well, not exactly...
search "Watchmaker analogy" & "Sally Morem" seperately.
Somthin' I did in my religion class.
You'll see what I mean.

Because we don't want to go to a part of our belief called "Hell." Have you heard of it?

We believe in our own religions, because we just do.

Maybe he was just born into it.

I was, so I just decided to stay with my religion. Neutral

I'm not sure of the intent of your question, but I'll bite.

It would take a while to explain why I believe everything that I believe. But I assume you are asking, "why do you believe there is a god"... aka theism.
(although, a religion doesnt have to be theistic. Buddhism is considered an atheistic religion)

I believe that truth and love are real. Just as gravity and other laws of the universe are real.
I believe that these laws could not evolve from nothing.
I believe that there is more evidence of a creator than there is evidence of there not being a creator.
I believe that to truly think there is no creator, means that we have no meaning. A life without meaning is very dangerous. I don't think we, humankind, would have made it this far if that were true.

So, once and if you get past that, then there are many more questions.. like "why were we created" and "who created us" and "how do we know god" and "what are we suppost to do?". IMO, Christianity is the only one that is different, the only one that makes sense. I know it sounds like religious fanaticism... but... once you truly know who Jesus is, you can't but help but be drawn to Him. When he is apart of your life, you see everything differently. If it was "just" a belief system, then I would have given it up a long time ago, but it is more than that... it is truth, it is love, it is grace.

If we could some how sweep away the crud that we have piled upon the real message in the Bible, there would be much less animosity toward Christianity. Years and years of arguing amonst ourselves over tiny details and sticking to irrelevant traditions now has most of the world looking at us and going "WTF?". So I dont blame you for doing the same.

Scaring people to "believe" sickens me. Just because it successfully increase membership in your church and keep kids out of trouble, doesnt make it right.

Why would you believe in something just because? Sadly this makes up a majority of all "religious" people. If you were to ask most people why they belive what they do... they couldn't give you answer.

You mean you can't stand "arrogant atheists?" Or just atheists? There are good atheists, just as there are good religious people, and there are bad atheists, just as there are bad religious people.
